During the 1980s, the North American business acquisition² earned Paris a tax adjustment with penalties. It is therefore advisable to scrutinize the rest of these revision procedures in order to judge the advisability of carrying out a merger according to the application of international tax standards. In 2000 Paris SSII acquired the consulting company Ernst and Young which reduced the group's workforce from 40,000 to 60,000. Its share price has soared to over 300 euros. But in 2002, it lost 90% of its value. A judgment of the Supreme administrative court of November 7, 2005¹ came to reject the appeals of the Ministry of finance aiming to annul the discharge of the supplements of tax on the companies which had ruled a jurisdiction of first instance. Altran is a company acquired by Paris in June 2019. Blackrock¹ and Daimler was shareholders.
Paris SSII was therefore within its rights and did not de facto have been the subject of a conviction. In addition, the tax administration was enjoined by a decision of January 22, 2019 issued by another court of first instance, to return the funds illegitimately withheld to Paris provider due to receivables granted to R&D investment for amount of 15 M€.
This returns the evaluation of Paris to explain a part of the results displayed in the ranks of debts for the financial year 2009, to prove by the facts the R&D fraction devoted to the future and consequently, demonstrates a good degree of confidence for the shareholders in 2009. During this time, a subsidiary specializing in tubes for industry and petroleum benefited from the gradual rise in petroleum prices, but the sharp fall in prices in 2014-2015 caused investments by oil companies to stop. The share price lost 90% and the company owes its salvation in large part to a capital contribution from its Japanese partner Sumitomo and the French State, through Bpifrance².
In 2003, the German public prosecutor's office requested an investigation for acts of a corrupt nature. In order for a judicial investigation to be opened and the public prosecutor authorized to carry out multiple searches, a bundle of serious and consistent clues must be identified. In the present case, according to the media², suspicions were directed against the managers of the local subsidiary Ernst & Young. A conviction for such a fact would be, while respecting the principle of Non bis in idem, an aggravating factor in the event of recedance in the eyes of American anti-corruption judges. However, in criminal intents, the accomplice being judged as the principal perpetrator, there would remain a greater risk of sentence than for another society never convicted yet. Neither the German courts nor the CJEU report such a scenario. Due to its judicial, administrative and economic results, without conflict of interest and also, due to the post-pandemic contexte,
For these reasons,
Paris deserves an upper confidence.
